Apple finally addresses microphone issues for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus

Apple has confirmed that there are microphone problems on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus  running IOS 11.3 or later. Users see a grayed out speaker button during the call. This prevents customers from being heard on phone calls and face time video chats. Moreover, some users reported about malfunctioning of Siri in the latest iOS update. What Apple said: Apple has not publicly discussed this bug related issue. Instead, it has internally instructed Apple Authorised Service Providers by an internal document obtained by MacRumors. Apple, in the document, has instructed service providers to ask users to disconnect Bluetooth headsets. If this doesn’t fix the issue then users should run audio diagnostic. If the diagnostic either mentions ‘could not detect dock’ or something similar to it then the service provider will repair the phone. Samsung Sweeps the maximum share for premium samrtphone, Apple became third

Samsung tops the indian smartphone market for premium smartphones(i.e smartphone priced more than 30,000) with the largest market share of 50% in Q1,2018. Samsung tasted this success with the help of their new series of flagship devices such as Galaxy NOTE 8, Galaxy A8+, Galaxy S9.This is also 16% Year-on-Year growth for samsung. OnePlus and Apple were the runner ups with 25% and 20% market share respectively. The overall sahre of these three giants in 95% of the overall premium samrtphone segment. When it comes to the individual devices that contributed to a healthy premium smartphone market in Q1,2018, The OnePlus 5T had a 25% market share followed by Galaxy S9+ at 17% and Galaxy s9 at 12%. Apple, the big name in the smartphone market was leading the share with 46.9% in Q4,2017 followed by OnePlus and Samsung at 24.9% and 17.6%,respectively. The decreasing demand for the IPhone 8 and I Phone X led to the downfall of apple as the demand decreased by 55%.

Xiaomi launched Mi Music, Mi Video apps in India

Xiaomi on Wednesday launched its first set of Internet-based services in India by launching Mi Music and Mi Video App. What’s different in Mi Music, Mi Video Apps? Mi video is a pre-installed video App that provides integrated video streaming options for various platforms. Mi music is a pre-installed music App which provides online and offline streaming of songs. Mi Music and Mi Video are the first internet services that Xiaomi introduced in India. With Mi Music users can listen to a large library of online songs. Among the partners that will contribute to audio and video streaming are – SonyLIV, HungamaPlay, Voot, Alt BALAJI, Zee5, Viu, TVF and more. Hungama play will offer the exclusive music streaming and video streaming alongside the above video creators. The Mi music users will be able to listen to the 10 million free songs, although the users have to pay for downloading songs and the monthly subscription will be for Rs 99/months and Rs 899/year

Global smartphone market declined by 2.9% in Q1,2018 | Samsung leads : IDC

According to the prelimenary data from the International Data Corporation(IDC), Worldwide Quarterly mobile phone trackers, Smartphone vendors shipped total of 334.3 million units during the Q1,2018 which resulted in 2.9% decline in the market as 334.4 millions units were sold in Q1.2017. The 100 million dipping of shipment volume in Chinese market was the main reason to the resulted decline. This is the biggest decline which is observed after Q3,2013. HMD Global will be launching two smartphones in its Nokia X-series on April 27. According to earlier leaks, the launch date was out for the new X series smartphones. New leaks reveal the specifications and render of one of the phones that will be launched – the Nokia X6. It looks very similar to the Nokia 7 Plus and has an iPhone X like display. Chinese website Weibo states that the Nokia X6 will come with a 5.8-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) display. The display will also have an aspect ratio of 19:9.
